Rehabilitative care is available for adults aged 25 upwards with a treatment-resistant, serious and enduring mental illness such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar affective disorder or other psychoses. People are usually referred to the service from acute inpatient services, where a more intensive service is required to reduce symptoms and improve independent functioning and social and coping skills.
The services aim to support individuals with their recovery using a variety of approaches and interventions to support individual needs and has a full multidisciplinary approach. Each service user is actively involved with their rehabilitation.
