Are you passionate about improving health and well-being in Birmingham?

Birmingham CrossCity Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is searching for two Lay Advisors who are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of people in the city.

The Lay Advisors to the Governing Body will work closely with the Chairman, Clinical Accountable Officer, Governing Body and Senior Management Team to ensure the organisation is operating to the highest standards and providing expert input into the business operations of the CCG.

The roles require a commitment of around three days a month, with a remuneration of £7,882, and the term can be agreed upon appointment – up to a maximum of four years.

Dr Gavin Ralston, Birmingham CrossCity CCG’s Chair, said: “As the fourth largest CCG in the country, serving over 700,000 patients and with a membership of over 100 GP practices, our mission is to achieve ‘Excellence in Commissioning through Excellent Primary Care’.

“We will achieve this by bringing together a diverse set of clinicians and managers from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds, working with a common value and purpose.

“We are looking for two suitably experienced individuals with a commercial business background and an interest in engagement and involvement. Both roles are an exciting opportunity for those looking to add value to local communities.”
