Patients and the public are being invited to join Birmingham CrossCity Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) at its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) next month.
The event, 'Shaping the Future of Healthcare in Birmingham’, takes place on Tuesday 16 September from 6.30pm at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, B5 7QU, when the CCG will talk about how it plans to design services in the future and how people can get involved in shaping local healthcare.
There will also be the opportunity to hear about the work the CCG has already undertaken in its first year, look at the CCG’s Annual Report 2013/14 and for members of the public to ask questions.
The keynote speakers will be the CCG’s Chair Dr Gavin Ralston and its Clinical Accountable Officer Dr Barbara King, who will be joined on the night by Dr Andrew Wakeman, Medical Director at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust; Dr Andrew Catto, Medical Director at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust; Dr Neil Gittoes, Associate Medical Director for Clinical Partnerships at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust; Dr Roger Naik, Chair of Kingstanding and New Oscott Local Commissioning Network; and Dr Alex Mayer, Chair of Hall Green Local Commissioning Network.
Dr Gavin Ralston, Chair of Birmingham CrossCity CCG, said: “We are delighted to be able to present what we have achieved during our first year, as well as talk about our plans for the future and the challenges we face. We’d be delighted to welcome you to this event if you can spare an evening from your busy schedule to join us.
“The Wellbeing Community Choir will be performing and there will also be the chance to find out more about the work of organisations across the wider health and social care community in Birmingham at our marketplace.”
