Dr Adrian Phillips – Director of Public Health

Dr Adrian Phillips sits on the Governing Body as the CCG’s public health adviser, focusing on preventing ill health among local people. He has a wealth of experience in this field and was also formerly managing director of Wolverhampton PCT, and deputy chief executive of NHS Wolverhampton. He was appointed Birmingham’s Director of Public Health by the city council in 2012, with responsibility for a wide range of public health issues, including immunisation, nutrition, tobacco and alcohol, drugs recovery, sexual health, pregnancy and children’s health. In his current role he is a member of Birmingham Health and Wellbeing Board.
