The NHS in Birmingham is currently very busy and we are asking local people to carefully consider what NHS service they need.
NHS 111 is open 24/7 for urgent medical advice and it’s free to call. By calling ‘111’ trained call handlers, doctors and nurses will help you to choose the best local NHS service for you, before you set off. This might be your GP, one of the eight walk-in or urgent care centres across the city, or a local pharmacy.
You can also find details of local NHS services, including pharmacies, walk-in and urgent care centres by putting in your postcode on the NHS Choices website (www.nhs.uk).
