Birmingham CrossCity aspires to achieve excellence in commissioning through excellence in Primary Care; this can only be achieved through informed decision making. We are working to develop and build new ways of engaging and involving patients, local communities and key partners.
We want to improve the services we commission giving local people relevant and timely information to help empower them to make positive choices for their health and wellbeing.
Our approach to patient and public involvement
Our aim is that patients, carers, community representatives, community groups and the wider public are involved in commissioning decisions at every level. We are currently seeking views on developing a range of approaches for public involvement and engagement to build on work we are already doing.
Public Involvement and Engagement Action Plan 2013-14 – is a draft document setting out a range of actions that would be delivered over the next twelve month. These plans also include a proposal to establish a patient and public council which will support meaningful involvement in how we commission local health services.
If you would like to take part by sharing your views on our plans please complete the survey below the deadline for feedback is Friday 14th June 2013 at 5pm.
